Much of the ride was along roads like this. Beautiful!
Made it to 5000 ft!
Finally arrived at Donner Pass after 60+ miles of cycling and climbing today!
The views were amazing and the downhill was fun!
I had "a moment" today while I was riding on I-80. We came into a huge valley ringed with mountains and it was so vast and I was just this tiny speck on my bicycle and it kind of took my breath away. That's the reason I'm riding my bike across the country! Well, one of them anyway.
I'll try to do a little catching up tomorrow. We have a shorter riding day and a less strenuous route although we still have a 9 mile climb to do. Tomorrow we also cross off our first state and enter Nevada!!
You're amazing Kettie. Love your blog -- first thing I look at every morning. Enjoy every moment.
